Language & Speech Science Library at Chandler House
The National Information Centre for Speech-language Therapy (NICeST)
The LaSS Library is both a branch of UCL Library Services , serving the Language Sciences research and teaching departments, and the National Information Centre for Speech-language Therapy (NICeST).
The library holds a unique specialist collection of materials in the field of human communication and its disorders. Subjects covered include: language and languages (written, spoken and signed); linguistics; phonetics; psychology; special education; speech science; and voice. The collections include books, journals (paper and online), clinical assessment tests , dissertations , and audiovisual materials. There is also a Historical Collection of older books relating to speech and language therapy. Online resources, in addition to full-text journals , include a library blog and access to several bibliographic databases.
Members of the Royal College of Speech & Language Therapists may use the library free of charge, and are entitled to a borrower's ticket on payment of an annual fee. For further details of library access and any other enquiries, e-mail the librarian or telephone 020 7679 4207.
